When did you first start cheerleading or dancing? When I was three years old
Why did you choose the school you currently attend? Because I love the state of Louisiana and everything that it stands for, what better way to show pride in your state!
What is the biggest difference between cheer/dance in college versus high school/all-star? Collegiate dancing is more demanding than high school. You have to learn a lot more routines in a shorter amount of time, and you also perform in front of much larger crowds.
Most memorable moment in collegiate cheer/dance career? My first sold out game at Tiger Stadium. Walking onto a field with 92,000 fans screaming for you is truly amazing.
Most embarrassing moment in college career? When I forgot part of the dance for the game against UGA
Most influential person in your life and why? My mom because she’s always believed in me and encouraged me to set my goals high and accomplish them.
My career ambition is: To work in Public Relations for a professional sports team.
I spent my summer vacation doing the following: Auditioning for the New Orleans Hornets dance team, The Honeybees :)
Favorite course in school and why? Math because I am good at it.
Least favorite course and why? Any kind of science, especially biology
Favorite hobbies: Watching tv, surfing the internet, and cheering for the NO Hornets
Favorite sports team: New Orleans Hornets!!!
Favorite actor and actress? Ryan Reynolds
Favorite vacation spot: Any beach, especially somewhere in the Caribbean
Favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving because it’s the holiday where I usually get to see the most amount of family.
No one knows this about me but… I am terrified of the dark.
Best advice to give someone who wants to be a college cheerleader/dancer: Go for it! Even though there is definitely more competition to earn a spot on a collegiate team, don’t let anyone tell you no. Show up at auditions with a positive attitude and have fun! After all that’s what dancing is all about!
Best advice to give someone who wants to be an NBA dancer: Train hard! Auditions are even more strenuous than college! Make sure your body and your technique are in tip top shape!
Is cheerleading/dancing a sport, why or why not? Being a huge sports fan, I do not believe dancing is a sport. It can be treated as a sport in competitions, but dancing everyday I would have to say is more of an art form/freedom of expression.
