Q&A with Heather
Place of Residence: Iselin, New Jersey

Major: Major – Exercise Science, Minor- Sport Administration
When did you first start cheerleading or dancing? I started cheering at the age of 4 on a pop warner team in my home town.
Why did you choose the school you currently attend? I wanted to go to a Division 1 school when I was younger to cheer, but I wasn’t sure which one I wanted to attend. One of my coaches used to cheer here so they recommended it to me.
What is the biggest difference between cheer/dance in college versus high school/all-star? The biggest difference in cheering in college compared to cheering in High school would have to be the time we put into practice and also how much more we give to the community.
Most memorable moment in collegiate cheer/dance career? Winning my first NCA College Nationals in 2008 with the Large Coed team here at the University of Louisville
Most embarrassing moment in college career? Being at the Big East Tournament for Men’s basketball and doing a back tuck and falling on my face because someone hit me while I was flipping upside down.
Most influential person in your life and why? My mom, she always tells me to never give up on my dreams.
My career ambition is: To be a physical therapist
I live by the following motto: Everything happens for a reason
Favorite course in school and why? Anatomy because I find the human body very interesting to study
Least favorite course and why? English because I think its boring
Favorite tv show: Grey’s Anatomy
Favorite hobbies: Going to the beach, reading, and sleeping
Favorite sports team growing up: New York Yankees
Favorite vacation spot: Bahamas
Favorite actor and actress? Actor - Channing Tatum, Actress – Lucielle Ball
Favorite holiday and why? Christmas because I love all the decorating
Best advice to give someone who wants to be a college cheerleader/dancer: Live for every opportunity, the time flies by.
No one knows this about me but… I enjoy my quiet time
Is cheerleading/dancing a sport, why or why not? Cheerleading is a sport because there are more injuries in cheerleading then any other college sport. We also work just as hard as any other sport.
