Pro Cheerleaders Alumni Holds 2nd Annual Audition Prep Class

JACKSONVILLE, FL—The Professional Cheerleaders Alumni, comprised of former NFL Cheerleaders, are preparing for their second year of an Audition Prep Class to prepare ladies (17 & over) interested in auditioning for professional cheerleading or dance teams. Many pro teams begin holding auditions as early as March for the 2009 season, and these ladies are offering their experience and advice to help make the cut, however, these classes do not guarantee placement on a team.

Training classes are held twice a week from January through March at Bailey’s Powerhouse Gym on San Jose in Jacksonville. Bailey’s has partnered with Professional Cheerleaders Alumni (PCA) as their official gym, offering the use of their state-of-the-art facilities for classes. PCA, in turn, is offering this class free to Bailey’s members.

In 2008, over 50 ladies participated in the Audition Prep Class, which included the techniques needed for auditions such as turns, kicks, and basic dance steps. “We had so much positive feedback from last year’s Prep Class we thought it was important to continue to offer this class to ladies interested in auditioning. Once again we are presenting a unique opportunity to get the inside edge that only alumni of professional teams can give. We cover the basic fundamentals of an audition that goes beyond dance technique which includes make-up tips, image consultation and interview tips”, says Darlene Clancy, an instructor of PCA’s Audition Prep Class.
